Dr. Ronald S. Acquaro a pediatric dentist and the owner of Children’s Dentistry of Manatee. He opened CDM in 1977. He earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of South Florida, and a dental degree from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry in Louisville, Kentucky. He graduated from USF with a near-4.0 average, and received an academic scholarship while attending the University of Louisville Dental School. After dental school, he served as a Captain in the US Air Force. While in the Air Force, he did a two-year rotation through general dentistry, prosthodontics and oral surgery. After military service, he achieved a Pediatric Dental Specialty Certificate from an accredited two-year pediatric dental residency program at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. This program also included courses in orthodontics. He belongs to numerous dental and pediatric dental associations and is a member of a prestigious orthodontic study club: …the Florida Dental Facial Study Club. In his time away from the office, Dr. Acquaro enjoys boating, fishing and other outdoor activities.
