After completing four years of dental school, Prosthodontists receive an extra three years of specialized training in an American Dental Association (ADA) accredited graduate program. Prosthodontics is one of the nine dental specialties recognized by the ADA.
Less than 2% of all …dentists are prosthodontists. And Dr. Jivraj not only retains this distinction himself, he also teaches the graduating class of new prosthodontists at USC’s School of Dentistry.

Prosthodontists have the additional skills required to restore optimum function and esthetics to your smile. These include: crowns, bridges, veneers, inlays, complete and removable partial dentures, dental implants, TMD-jaw joint problems, traumatic injuries to the mouth’s structures and/or teeth, snoring and sleep disorders and oral cancer reconstruction and continuing care.
Prosthodontists are able to provide an extremely high level of care to patients with missing teeth, or having significant damage to their existing teeth. Prosthodontists work with congenital defects as well as problems arising from trauma and neglect.

Dr. Jivraj is an award-winning specialist in Prosthodontics. He was voted “Best of USA” by his peers in 2007, and has authored over two dozen articles on implant dentistry and restorative dentistry for the British Dental Association.
While Dr. Jivraj’s foremost priority remains providing the highest-quality care to his patients, he maintains a position as a teaching professor for the University of Southern California’s class of Advanced Prosthodontics.
