I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself and my experience in physical medicine and rehabilitation, or Physiatry. Physiatry is the non-operative approach to neuromusculoskeletal conditions. Because the focus i on improvement of function, physiatrists have been given the distrinction of being called “the quality of life” physicians.
I am a board certified physiatrist and a medical acupuncturist with special interests in conservative spine care, electrodiagnostics, medical acupuncture, chronic pain and fibromyalgia and industrial medicine. I have also been involved in non-interventional treament of chronic pain. I have added medical acupuncture to my options for treatment after completing a 300 hour training course through UCLA Helms Medical Institute program. Holistic approaches and nutrition are important to general wellness and treating you as a whole person.
