I was born in Brooklyn NY, attended Poly Prep, then Boston University’s 6 Year Liberal Arts- Medical Program. I did a medical internship at LIJ Med Center then my residency at Manhattan Eye, Ear, and Throat Hospital, where I came up with the idea for my invention, the Greenbaum Anesthesia Cannula- now licensed to and made by Alcon Surgical. It is used worldwide and eliminates the risks of needle trauma to the eye and surrounding muscles and nerves as a result of needle delivered anesthesia.
