Dr. Shannon Horton

I chose to become an audiologist because of my family’s history of hearing loss. Due to being diagnosed with hearing loss myself at a young age, I have been exposed to the field of audiology for quite some time. I feel that I can provide a compassionate approach to those with hearing loss because of my own personal hearing experiences. Listening to the patient’s needs and their unique hearing experiences is so important in the management of hearing loss. It is also important to meet the individual where they are in their hearing journey. I strive to provide the best audiological care while keeping the individual’s unique hearing needs in mind. My audiological interests include pediatric hearing diagnostics and management. I also enjoy working with all individuals that seek hearing aids as a means for better communication. In my personal time, I enjoy spending time with my family; my children keep me busy. We enjoy spending time at the beach and at other locations that our family trips …may take us. My hobbies include reading, boating and riding bikes.
