Welcome to My Home Page!
Born in Tehran, Iran, I received my medical degree from the University of Zanjan Medical Science in Iran 1997. I worked as a primary care physician in Iran 1997-2000. After immigration to USA in 2001 I did my residency in nuclear medicine at Yale New Haven University in New Haven, Connecticut from 2004-06, serving as chief resident in 2004-05.
Then I continued my training as a postdoctoral fellow at University of California San Francisco, with fellowship in PET/CT. While perusing fellowship at UCSF, I received an NIH scholarship in biomedical imaging.
In October 2007 I joined the Nuclear Medicine Department in Kaiser Permanente as a staff. I work primarily in the Nuclear Medicine department at the Walnut Creek/Antioch Kaiser Medical Center. In 2009 I was selected to be an assistant medical director in Kaiser Permenante School of Allied health Science.
Board Certifications: American Board of Nuclear Medicine, certified in 2006.
Clinical Interests: …Cross fusion imaging such as PET/CT and SPECT/CT to improve the accuracy of the currently available nuclear medicine imaging studies. My special focus is placed to better support my colleagues in the diagnosis and treatment of pathologic diseases in a multidisciplinary setting. My best emphasis is placed in all aspects of patient care, including success of the diagnosis and treatment, impact on survival, improvement on patient’s quality of life, as well as convenience to patients and their family.
Research Interests: I am interested in application of new cancer selected PET tracers such as FLT in detection of early treatment response in head and neck cancer. My selected publications:

Ancillary position: Teaching is my passion, I taught nuclear medicine to radiology residents while I was a fellow at UCSF and now as an assistant medical director in Kaiser Permanente School of Allied Health Science I teach nuclear medicine to nuclear medicine technologists.
Personal Note: I am married and a have a little dog. I like cooking, reading books, gardening, and watching TV with my beloved husband. To stay active I walk, swim and practic yoga and among these Yoga works the best for me.
