Dr. Sonia Mathew, DMD, FAGD

Dr.Sonia Mathew completed her dental degree from Rutgers School of Dental Medicine, formerly known as the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ), and later continued her residency too at UMDNJ. After completing her residency, Dr. Mathew worked as an Associate in several dental offices, gaining valuable experience in many facets of dentistry. She is a general dentist who is focused on providing the highest standard of care to her patients. Her goal is to create beautiful smiles through comfortable, convenient care.​
Dr. Mathew is one of less than 6% of dentists nationwide to achieve the FAGD accreditation. Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentist (F.A.G.D.), an elite group who has been rigorously tested and have shown to demonstrate a wide range of dental knowledge. FAGD is one of the highest awards that a dentist can receive. In fact, only about 4-5 dentists per state per year achieve this distinction.Dr. Mathew is trained in implants from International …Academy of Implant Dentistry. She is also an active member of American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, American Academy of Clear Aligners, and more! Dr. Mathew is happily married and lives in Edison with her husband and two wonderful kids. When she’s not in the office, she loves to read, cook and spend time with her family and friends.
