Dr. Sonya Head was born and raised in Aiken, South Carolina. She graduated from the University of South Carolina-Aiken with a BS in Chemistry in 1994. Dr. Head attended the University of South Carolina School of Medicine and graduated in 1998. She completed her residency training in Pediatrics in 2001 at Palmetto Health Richland. She entered private practice in July 2001 at Southside Pediatrics of Aiken LLC. She is married to William Head and her daughter, Maggie, was born in August of 2004. In her spare time, Dr. Head enjoys cooking, reading and spending time with her family.
