Steven D. Wexner, MD, is Chief Academic Officer at Cleveland Clinic Florida. Dr. Wexner served as Chief of Staff at Cleveland Clinic Hospital from 1997 to 2007. He is also Chairman of the Department of Colorectal Surgery, Chairman of the Division of Research and Education, and 21st Century Oncology Chair in Colorectal Surgery at Cleveland Clinic Florida. Dr. Wexner holds academic appointments as Professor of Surgery at Cleveland Clinic Foundation Health Sciences Center of The Ohio State University; Clinical Professor of Surgery at the University of South Florida, Tampa, Fla.; Clinical Professor of Biomedical Science at Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine, Florida Atlantic University; Professor of Surgery, University of Siena, Siena, Italy; and Visiting Professor, Faculty of Medicine, Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Hadassah Medical Organization, Jerusalem, Israel. In 1999, he was awarded an FRCS from the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh, and in 2000 he was awarded an FRC
