Dr. Suresh Govindram Gurbani, MD

I was born in a small village in India. I changed my school a few times as my father’s job required him to move every so often. This exposed me to both cultural diversity and economic reality. As a medical student, I was deeply involved in community activities, including running free child and maternal health clinics. It was a natural transition for me to become a pediatrician and then a faculty member in the Department of Pediatrics at Baroda Medical College in India. To make a positive contribution in the lives of children with special needs, I became a child neurologist when I got the opportunity after coming to the United States.
