Dr. Thida Ong, MD

Thida Ong, MD, is attending physician at Seattle Children’s Hospital and acting assistant professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Washington School of Medicine. She earned her MD at McGill University in Montreal, Canada and completed her pediatrics internship and residency at the University of California, Los Angeles. She completed her pediatric pulmonary fellowship training at the University of California, San Francisco with a research focus on prognostic markers of acute lung injury.
Her clinical interests include asthma, cystic fibrosis, bronchopulmonary dysplasia, congenital lung malformations, pediatric interstitial lung diseases, and pulmonary complications of the immune compromised. Ong has a special focus on adolescent issues in patients with cystic fibrosis, particulary to improve outcomes with adherence and fostering development in transition. She is dedicated to the teaching of medical students, residents, and pulmonary fellows on both …inpatient and outpatient services. She is a member of the American Thoracic Society.
