Dr. Jayasundera completed his medical degree at Ross University School of Medicine and his internship in internal medicine at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. He went on to complete his residency at Georgetown University and fellowships in Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology at Drexel University and Mount Sinai Hospital, respectively. He is affiliated with Mount Sinai Hospital and New York University Elaine A and Kenneth G Langone Medical Center.

He takes pride in practicing preventative medicine ensuring that his patients remain healthy. In addition to treating various medical conditions Dr. Jayasundera also educates patients on their particular medical diagnosis to ensure that each patient makes healthy lifestyle choices to maintain good health.
