She graduated from Wayne State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. She finished Wayne State School of Medicine in 1996. Her Neurology residency was completed in 2000 at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. She has recently (2001) completed a fellowship in Sleep-Wake Disorders at the John Dingell Veterans Administration Hospital in Detroit. She practices medicine with a down-to-earth and compassionate approach.
