Dr. Tuan Anthony Hoang Xuan, DO

Dr. Hoang earned his Doctor of Osteopathy from the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific of the Western Health Sciences University in May 1991. He joined the United States Army Medical Corps upon graduation.
He did his one-year internship in Internal Medicine at the Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas. He completed his dermatology residency at the Naval Medical Center, San Diego in 1998.
Dr. Hoang was awarded the Alfred W. Hollander Award from the Naval Medical Center, San Diego for being the most outstanding and best teaching resident.
Dr. Hoang has been certified by the American Board of Dermatology since 1998 and recently successfully recertified in 2007.
Major Hoang%u2019s two most treasured awards from his 10 years of active duty service with the United States Army were the Department of Defense Meritorious Service Medal and the Most Outstanding Staff Teacher by the Madigan Army Medical Center in 2001.
In 2001, Dr. Hoang became a staff …dermatologist and eventually a partner at the Southern California Permanente Medical Group at both Fontana and Anaheim campuses.
At SCPMG-Fontana, in 2004 and 2006, Dr. Hoang was bestowed with the Third Year Subspecialty Teacher of The Year Awards by the Kaiser Permanente, Fontana Medical Center’s Family Medicine Residency Program. He has authored and published manuscripts for prestigious dermatology journals.
In 2007, Dr. Hoang established his own private dermatology practice in the Chino Hills area.
Currently, Dr. Hoang serves as a dermatology consultant for Chino Valley Medical Center – a COMP-affiliated residency training program. Dr. Hoang is actively training third-year Family Medicine physicians from CVMC in the specialty of Dermatology. Dr. Hoang received the 2012 Attending Physician of the Year Award from the Chino Valley Medical Center.
