Dr. Usiwoma Abugo, MD, a distinguished ophthalmologist, has recently joined Katzen Eye Group in Towson, MD, bringing a wealth of expertise and dedication to her hometown of Baltimore. A graduate of Loyola University Chicago’s Stritch School of Medicine, Dr. Abugo completed her residency in ophthalmology at Howard University Hospital Center and a transitional year residency at Bassett Medical Center, showcasing her commitment to excellence. Her sub-specialty fellowship in neuro-ophthalmology and facial plastic and reconstructive orbital surgery at Central Valley Eye Medical Group in California further enhances her skills, making her a valuable addition to Katzen Eye Group.
Dr. Abugo is deeply engaged in the ophthalmic community, with notable contributions recognized by prestigious organizations such as the American Academy of Ophthalmology, where she received the Secretariat Award for her efforts during the COVID pandemic.
