Dr. Vartgez K. Mansourian joined our team in early 2013. He is board certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation, spinal cord injury and pain medicine. Dr. Mansourian trained at the Medical School of Georgia with an internship at Sinai Hospital of Baltimore followed by a residency at Temple University Hospital. Most recently, he was in private practice for over 20 years in Boca Raton, Florida. A physiatrist is a medical physician who specializes in the field of physical medicine and rehabilitation. Physiatry is a specialized non-surgical branch of medicine that addresses problems that touch upon all major systems in the body, using aggressive rehabilitation to promote the restoration of maximum function to people with problems ranging from simple physical mobility to complex cognitive functions.
