Dr. Singh is the founder and Medical Director of Spine Pain Diagnostics Associates. He is board certified in Anesthesiology and the subspecialty of Pain Medicine. He has provided Michigan’s Upper Peninsula and Wisconsin with the highest quality of care in interventional pain management since 1989. He attended medical school at Motilal Nehru Medical University of Allahabad, India. He interned at Brookdale Hospital Medical Center. He did residencies at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and at Tampa General Hospital.The extent of Dr. Singh’s expertise is evident in the vast amount of professional research and authored texts which he has produced. He was one of the first physicians to perform the procedure known as IDET in 1998 and Nucleoplasty in 2000. In addition, he has written and contributed to over 130 scientific papers in peer-reviewed journals, two authoritative textbooks and guidelines for interventional pain physicians. In the spring of 2011, “Becker’s Orthopedic …& Spine Review,” named Dr. Singh as one of the top 70 Pain Management physicians in the United States. (View publications)Dr. Singh’s professional career outside of research and writing includes involvement in the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians (ASIPP), serving as a lifetime member on the Board of Directors for interventional pain as well as President of the society in 2007. He is the driving force in the advancement of interventional pain management. Dr. Singh’s demeanor is one of passion for the field of medicine, care for his patients and staff and determination and drive for continuing education and advancement.In March 2018, Dr. Singh was chosen by the American Board of Interventional Pain Physicians to received the Lifetime Achievement Award for his leadership interventional pain medicine. This award was in recognition of his commitment to his specialty and even more so, for his compassion as a doctor.Aside from his professional career, Dr. Singh enjoys spending time with his wife and four daughters as well boating and fishing.
