Dr. Evans is a native of Cartersville, Georgia, and grew up in the foothills of the northwest Georgia mountains. He attended college at the University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee, and received a philosophy degree with honors.
After working several years in the marina industry, he eventually decided to follow in his father‘s footsteps and pursue a career in medicine. He attended the Medical College of Georgia and subsequently did his Anesthesiology Residency and Interventional Pain Management Fellowship also at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta.
He has been with Southeast Pain and Spine Care since 2007 and works in the Blue Ridge facilities in Hickory and Valdese North Carolina. He utilizes many multimodal approaches to treat chronic pain in efforts to improve patients’ functional status and quality-of-life. Dr. Evans’ children are in college, so he and his wife Kim have more free time recently to enjoy their small farm, mountain biking, cooking, fishing, and 3 dogs.
