I decided to follow my father into medicine after finding biology, physiology, and anatomy so interesting as an undergraduate. I attended the military medical school (USUHS) and served for 20 years in the U.S. Air Force. I moved to San Diego to pay back my military commitment at Navy Hospital San Diego. I enjoyed San Diego so much I felt like I could not leave after I retired from the military, so I joined Kaiser Permanente. Outside the hospital, I enjoy golf, cycling, sports cars, music, and technology.
