Dr. William Covington Buchanan

William C. Buchanan Jr., DMD, MS
Dr. W.C. “Coby” Buchanan, Jr. graduated summa cum laude from Mississippi State University, with a B.S. in Microbiology. He received his D.M.D. degree from the University of Mississippi School of Dentistry where he was a member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society. He received his master’s degree in orthodontics at the University of Buffalo School of Dental Medicine. Some of his research efforts in residency were recently rewarded with publication in the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics.
Dr. Buchanan is an active member of the American Dental Association and the American Association of Orthodontists, as well as the Texas Dental Association, and the Denton County Dental Society. He is also board certified by the American Board of Orthodontics. Dr. Buchanan attends continuing education classes throughout the year to keep up to date with the continuous advances in the orthodontic field. Dr. Buchanan is committed to …supporting the surrounding community. Throughout the year he takes the time to educate students by visiting local schools and is involved with local charities. Dr. Buchanan joined the practice in 2006 and resides in Denton with his wife and two sons. When not at the office, you can expect to find him spending time with his family, or pursuing his favorite hobby-bass fishing.
