Graduated magna cum laude in 1977 from the University of Colorado School of Medicine. He completed his residency training in pediatrics as well as serving a fourth year as Chief Resident and also a fellowship in pediatric chest diseases at the same institution. Dr. Nichols is board certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric pulmonary diseases and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and of the American Thoracic Society. He is married and has two sons, a daughter, one grandson and three granddaughters. When he’s not working he enjoys a round of golf. Dr. Nichols and Dodi Wade PNP share a general pediatrics practice at the Peterkort Office. Either one or the other is scheduled five days a week. Dr. Nichols also sees pulmonary patients at his Emanuel office three mornings a week.
