Dr. Wright Lauten, MD

Dr. Lauten is a native of Mobile, AL and a graduate of Vanderbilt University where he was summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa. He attended South Alabama College of Medicine on Scholarship and later returned to Vanderbilt for his residency in Ophthalmology. He completed a 2-year Vitreoretinal Surgery fellowship at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
During his stay in Birmingham, he was the attending for the Callahan Eye Emergency Department and Birmingham Veteran Affairs Medical Center. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and presently resides in Hattiesburg, MS with his wife, Anna, and his three daughters Murphy, Lanier, and Mary Wright.
