I value getting to know my clients on a personal level, as this is crucial for success in nutrition therapy. I will ask detailed questions about your diet history, what a regular day of eating looks like, and your physical activity. Most importantly, we will discuss what you struggle with the most and what information or help you need for success. At each appointment, we will cover nutrition & diet education pertinent to your disease state or health goals. My goal for each client is that you end our session feeling knowledgeable and confident about making healthy changes to your life. About me: I was born and raised in Western …New York, and am proud to call the Rochester, NY area my home. As a teenager, I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. However, I did not let this life-altering diagnosis stop me from living a full life of playing competitive sports at the high school and college level, traveling abroad, and starting a family. I attribute this to the fantastic diabetes care team I had who always reinforced that I could do anything I wanted in spite of diabetes. From an early age, I wanted to pay this forward to others with chronic diseases. In my personal time, you can find me spending time with my little family, reading, kayaking, or watching stand-up comedy (because a good laugh is good for the soul!)
