Dr. David Geier, Jr. is a triple-board certified orthopedic surgeon, sports medicine specialist, and anti-aging and regenerative medicine expert. Dr. Geier helps you feel, look, and perform your best regardless of age or injury. Dr. Geier believes that the best way to return to peak performance after a bone or joint injury is to get the injury to heal without surgery. Instead of invasive surgeries with long recoveries and unpredictable results, he uses innovative treatments, medications, and injections. The goal of this approach is not just to decrease your pain, but also to heal your injury and prevent it from coming back. But it’s not just about your injury and recovery. It’s about getting you back to what you love to do – your favorite sport, exercising every day, or even just playing with your kids and getting through your work day without pain. He aims to help you optimize your performance through improved strength, energy, endurance, speed, muscle and more. He wants to help you …overcome your injury but also recharge your entire body so that you feel like you’re back in your twenties. Dr. Geier has earned board certification in Orthopaedic Surgery from the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, as well as subspecialty certification in Orthopaedic Sports Medicine from the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He has earned board certification in Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine from the American Board of Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine. He earned a certification in Peptide Therapy from the International Peptide Society and American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine. He is a member of both the International Peptide Society and Clinical Peptide Society. He is a member of the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine. He is a member of the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine and served on the AOSSM Board of Directors as Communication Council Chair from 2016 to 2019. He is a member of the Medical Aspects of Sports Committee of the South Carolina Medical Association. He is a reviewer for the American Journal of Sports Medicine, Sports Health, and the Orthopaedic Journal of Sports Medicine. Dr. Geier spent over 16 years in traditional orthopedic surgery and sports medicine, creating and leading the sports medicine program at an academic medical center and then at a private hospital in the Charleston area. In both positions and in his current practice, he works with athletes and active people of all ages, from all over the country. Dr. Geier serves as the chief medical expert for the ABC News 4 and FOX 24 television stations in Charleston. He has done approximately 3,000 media interviews for TV, newspapers, magazines, radio and online media outlets during his career.
