Luke Buffum

Luke H. Buffum is the owner and founder of Trinity Wellness Center and started the practice in January 2002 in the hopes of providing quality care in an old-fashioned, family-style atmosphere. Luke believe strongly in one-on-one individualized care and providing manual therapy and custom home exercise programs for their patients. They feel that time spent with a physical therapist should focus on patient education, manual interventions, and the development of a personalized home program. Luke received his Bachelor’s degree in Zoology from NC State University, where he also participated on the men’s basketball team. He graduated in 1998 and continued on to physical therapy school at the University of NC at Chapel Hill. He graduated with his Master of Physical Therapy degree in 2000 and specializes in the areas of orthopedics and sports medicine.Luke is trained and certified in David Graston’s SASTM method and Luke is also certified in Integrated Dry Needling and performing the …Functional Movement Screen (FMS). Luke is an American Physical Therapy Association Board Certified Orthopedic Specialist and a Sports Specialist. In addition to working at Trinity Wellness, Luke is also part of the NCSU sports medicine team. He assists the athletic trainers with dry needling and coordination of long-term rehab for multiple sports with a concentration on football and track and field. He also provides onsite services for the Triangle Volleyball Club. Luke has been a frequent speaker for numerous groups including: The Capital RunWalk “Ask the Experts” series, Galloway Running Group, Duke-Raleigh Walking Club and ACO Continuing Education.
