Welcome. Bienvenidos. If you were recently diagnosed or are further along in your pre-diabetes/ diabetes, you have questions. Most doctors are unable to offer the full support needed to cope with this distressing diagnosis. I know because I have been through it when my daughter was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at an early age. You do not have to struggle alone. My educational background includes a Masters of Public Health and Masters of Nutrition Sciences. My experience includes working closely with an endocrinology team. When I am part of your diabetes treatment team, I will: Be your diabetes advocate, guide your food choices to optimize health, counsel you through issues pertinent to diabetes management, coach you through getting to your target A1C and develop strategies to maintain it, and answer the questions you did not ask when diagnosed.
