Focus on clinical, translational and basic science research to improve the care of children with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Study mechanisms of action in the immune dysfunction in IBD, improving and individualizing treatment of children with IBD and investigating novel treatments in pediatric IBD with participation and leadership in clinical trials. Study the relationship of bacteria, immunology, and inflammation as it pertains to diseases such as inflammatory bowel disease and colon cancer.
