Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:With my background as a Research Assistant, as well as a Medical Transcriptionist, I was drawn to the idea of a career in healthcare. Healthcare professionals can make a positive impact in people’s lives. We work in a multidisciplinary team, which fosters camaraderie and a sense of belonging. I like that I’m able to give back to our community that welcomed me with open arms. I never stop learning. Continuous advances in our field keeps me on my toes and helps me keep up-to-date on the newest technologies, which in turn enables my patients to receive the best, state-of-the-art care.What I want my patients to know about me:As a PA State-Licensed, Board-Certified, Genetic Counselor working in the Prenatal/Preconception field, I enjoy helping patients who are going through one of their most significant life events. We are at 32 states and counting! We have a blended family that includes four adult children and a fur baby. We love playing board games, which brings us closer as a family. I love gardening. Nature walks help me stay grounded.
