Why I Became A Physician
Being a physician was my goal from the age of five when I observed my father taking care of patients. Fascination with science and enjoyment working with people solidified this professional aspiration as my education advanced.
Why I Chose Gastroenterology
Gastroenterology captured my interest because of the variety of patients, problems, and procedures involved. The technologic advances are exciting but the core still remains the old-fashioned approach of the history, physical exam, and personal relationship with the patient.
Why I Practice at Kaiser Permanente
As a physician with Kaiser Permanente I can focus my energies on caring for my patients with the latest knowledge and procedures, without having to manage a small business.
My Philosophy on Healing
My philosophy on healing is that it requires a mix of a committed and compassionate physician, a trusting and motivated patient, and time.
When I am not working I enjoy spending time with my wife …and two sons, exploring the Bay Area, and cooking.
