Dr. Adam P. Smith graduated from Rush University Medical College in Chicago, Illinois in 2005 and recently completed a residency in neurological surgery at Rush University Medical Center. During his time in Chicago, he pursued additional training in stereotactic and functional neurological surgery under Dr. Roy AE Bakay, MD.
Dr. Smith’s clinical interests are both intracranial and spine surgery:
Spine pathology with emphasis on degenerative conditions, minimally invasive and complex procedures, peripheral nerve procedures, and spinal tumors
Intracranial pathology with emphasis on tumors, cerebrovascular diseases such as aneurysms, cavernous malformations and AVMs
Functional neurosurgery including epilepsy, movement disorders and trigeminal neuralgia
Dr. Smith is a member of a numerous professional societies including the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, and AANS/CNS Section on Stereotactic and Functional Surgery.
