Dr. Alan Jay Bauman, MD

Dr. Alan J. Bauman, M.D. is a full-time Hair Restoration Physician in private practice since 1997. As the Founder and Medical Director of Bauman Medical Group, he has followed his passion for helping patients who are struggling with hair loss, treating more than 17,000 patients in his career thus far.
As a young man, seeing his father struggle with hair loss and hair replacement options taught him quite a bit about how hair loss can affect someone. After completing his surgical training, Dr. Bauman became interested in artistic microsurgical hair transplant procedures which were able to undetectably restore natural-looking hairlines.
More recently, Dr. Bauman pioneered Neograft FUE, a minimally-invasive method of hair follicle harvesting which eliminates the need for a linear or ‘strip’ harvest as well as scalpel or stitches postoperatively. Dr. Bauman is also an early-adopter of the advanced no-linear-scar robotic-assisted ARTAS hair transplant system.
