Dr. Alan R. Heller

Dr. Alan R. Heller has been setting the highest standards of excellence in orthodontics for over 20 years! He graduated from the University of Maryland – College Park with a bachelor%u2019s degree in government and politics, and earned his dental degree from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry, where he was awarded special citations for both orthodontics and periodontics. Dr. Heller then received his post-doctorate orthodontic specialty training and his Master of Science (M.S.) degree from the University of Detroit School of Dentistry.
Dr. Heller has been practicing orthodontics exclusively in Maryland since completing his specialty training. He is immediate past president of the Southern Maryland Dental Society. Dr. Heller previously served as Chairman of the Programs Committee andhas been amember of the Executive Committee of the Southern Maryland Dental Society for several years. He is a strong proponent of participating in organized dentistry and maintains active …membership in the Maryland State Society of Orthodontists, Middle Atlantic Society of Orthodontists, American Association of Orthodontists, Maryland State Dental Association and the American Dental Association. In addition, Dr. Heller is a member of Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity, Metro II Study Club and the Greater Washington Dental Science Club, all of which provide Dr. Heller with continuing education on a regular basis and an opportunity to interact with many of the top dental professionals in the area.
Dr. Heller enjoys giving back to his community by participating in fundraising for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. He and his wife, Sheri, have four children: Max, Mitchell, Toby and Jaclyn. When not busy with family activities, Dr. Heller enjoys playing ice hockey and an occasional round of golf.
