Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:My father is a retired orthopaedic surgeon and exposure to his professional activities as a child promoted a desire to pursue science and medicine. Of particular interest was how my father made associations with wood working and carpentry to his surgical repair of fractures and this was what encouraged me to pursue orthopaedic surgery.What I want my patients to know about me:I have been in private practice for 27 years first with my father and then in solo practice for the past 16 years. I have been involved in every aspect of patient care during that time and strive to have patients develop the confidence that I am treating them like a member of my family.What I do when I’m not seeing patients:I enjoy yard and garden work, exercise, history, and travel.
