Dr. Alfonso Jesus Henriquez, MD

Dr. Henriquez was born and raised in Barranquilla, Colombia. He is a graduate of “La Universidad Del Norte”” in Colombia, where he received his Medical Doctor Degree in 1998. He went on to complete his internship and residency in Pediatrics at the University of Puerto Rico, School Of Medicine in the University Pediatric Hospital in 2006. Before joining Soma Medical Center, P.A., he practiced in different fields of pediatrics and general medicine including ER, PICU and Pediatrics Ward in different facilities in Colombia, Puerto Rico and Florida. During the last 3 years he has been working in an office setting as pediatrician in South Florida. He is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics. He is licensed to practice Medicine in Florida, Texas and Puerto Rico. Furthermore, he has active privileges at Palms West Hospital and actively sees patients in the pediatrics ward and nursery.
