Alice Fitzgerald has achieved her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and her Masters in Marriage and Family Counseling from Adler University in Chicago. She is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. She is currently completing her postdoctoral training and supervision thought the Illinois Department of Corrections with her goal to be licensed as a clinical psychologist in the coming year. Alice attained her undergraduate degree from Western Illinois University, majoring in Biology with Chemistry and Psychology minors.
Alice has experience working in a variety of different settings serving a diverse clientele ranging from children through seniors. She has provided counseling in community mental health, shelter services for DCFS, SASS, the YESS Program in Joliet High Schools, substance abuse, trauma, crisis assessment, and post hospitalization counseling. She has worked with incarcerated men and forensic clients. She has provided group therapy in the areas of parenting skills, …addiction and anger management.
She is inviting, open-minded, non-judgemental and takes a holistic approach to helping individuals with life changing and life-long issues. Alice has worked with individuals diagnosed with adjustment disorders, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorders, psychotic disorders, personality disorders, substance abuse and anger issues.
Alice is a lifelong learner. She believes that individuals make bad choices at times and are not bad people. This is her third life career. She began in a career in business and customer service, then was a stay at home mom and volunteer before becoming  a licensed therapist. She looks forward to the opportunity to meet and work with you.
