Dr. Collar has practiced cardiothoracic and vascular surgery in the Lansing area since 1986. He completed his residency training at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn., and his cardiothoracic fellowship training was at the University of Florida-Gainesville.
Dr. Collar has joined the Sparrow Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery practice as Medical Director of Cardiovascular Surgery. He specializes in cardiac, thoracic and vascular surgery with areas of interests in:
– Adult Congenital and Acquired Heart Disease
– Endovascular Aneurysm Repair
– Vascular and Endovascular Intervention
– Advanced Cardiovascular Imaging.
Dr. Collar is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, the American College of Chest Physicians and the Society of Thoracic & Cardiovascular Surgeons.
