Dr. Amy Lang is a Medical Oncologist in practice with The START Center treating adult patients with breast cancer.
Dr. Lang received her B.A. in English from Duke University. She completed medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and then attended Baylor University Medical Center for Internal Medicine residency and Oncology fellowship.
Dr. Lang is Board Certified in Medical Oncology.
She served as Chief of Staff of the Cancer Therapy and Research Center for two terms.
Dr. Lang was inducted into the San Antonio Women’s Hall of Fame in 2009. She has been awarded a Top Doctor award numerous times in Texas Monthly and Scene in S.A. Magazines.
Dr. Lang has appeared in numerous television news reports, radio shows, and newspaper interviews about oncologic and breast cancer issues.
Dr. Lang co-founded the ThriveWell Cancer Foundation, a non-profit charity which provides financial assistance to cancer patients in need, funds cancer …research,and offers the city-wide DIVA (Deriving Inspiration and Vitality through Activity) program, a fitness program providing free nutrition and exercise classes to reduce the risk of recurrence of breast cancer.
