Dr. Anezi E. Bakken, MD

Dr. Bakkenis is board certified in Internal Medicine and in Gastroenterology. Dr. Bakken completed her undergraduate and medical school studies at the University of Nigeria, and had three years of further medical training at various hospitals in the United Kingdom. She then completed her Internal Medicine residency at Wayne State University. Her three year Gastroenterology and Hepatology fellowship was completed at Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke’s Medical Center in Chicago. Dr. Bakken also has a Master of Science degree in Clinical Research from Rush University. She has presented papers at national conferences on gastrointestinal diseases. She performs all diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures. She is a member of the American Medical Society, American College of Gastroenterology, American Gastroenterology Association, and the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. Dr. Bakken is on staff at William Beaumont Hospital in Troy.
