Dr. Aras Donatas Tijunelis

Dr. Aras Tijunelis trained as a general surgeon in Detroit. There he received extensive hands on training in diverse general surgery procedures with emphasis in trauma surgery. After completing a full 5 years General Surgery residency and having passed the general surgery boards, he chose to continue his education and was accepted at University of Wisconsin-Madison Plastic and Reconstructive Fellowship. While in training for plastic surgery, he flew regular missions with UW Medflight as the on-board flight surgeon. As part of his Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery training, he successfully completed microsurgical training course, traveled to Ecuador (for Nicaplast) to perform many reconstructive surgeries and did an externship in Cosmetic Surgery in Newport Beach, CA. He has also recently traveled to India for a mission trip.
In 2000, Dr. Tijunelis completed his Plastic Surgery residency at University of Wisconsin. He then started his own Plastic and Reconstructive surgery practice …in Libertyville, IL named Lake County Plastic Surgery. Lake County Plastic Surgery has flourished ever since. Dr. Tijunelis is a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.
