Dr. August Andrew Bruno, MD

A member of the Buffalo Medical Group, PC, since 1995, Dr. August A. Bruno, Jr., is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
He earned his medical degree cum laude at the University at Buffalo (UB) School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, and completed his specialty training in obstetrics and gynecology at the University at Buffalo and UB-affiliated hospitals. During his residency he earned awards for academic and clinical excellence.
Dr. Bruno, Jr., is a Diplomat of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and a Fellow in the American College of Obstetrics & Gynecology. He is a member of the Buffalo Gynecologic and Obstetric Society, and has served as Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer of the organization.
Dr. Bruno, Jr., was the Director of Mercy Hospital’s Obstetrics & Gynecology Women’s Health Clinic for a decade and continues as a member of the hospital’s Medical Staff. He is affiliated with the Catholic Health System (Mercy and …Sisters of Charity hospitals) as well as Kaleida Health (Buffalo General Hospital). He also is an Assistant Clinical Professor of OB/GYN at UB.
He provides care for both routine and high risk obstetrics patients. Dr. Bruno, Jr. has a special interest and training in pelvic reconstructive surgery and specializes in the surgical management of severe pelvic organ prolapse.
