Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:I grew up in a family in which members ventured into many different professions. This gave me an early opportunity in life to really evaluate many professions; I gravitated naturally towards health care. My interest became stronger with age, later expressed to a physician mentor who guided me in the early process of pursuit of medicine as a career. I was a general family medicine physician for years after graduation. That exposed me to kidney diseases as an area of great need that I also have a strong liking for. That led me eventually to additional training to become a kidney specialist .What I want my patients to know about me:I derive great joy in treating kidney diseases, as well as in the difference that care makes in the lives of my patients. My most important goal during your visit is to make sure you walk away with great satisfaction, knowing that the reason for your visit has been thoroughly addressed. Kidney tests are often very …complicated, I will ensure that you understand the results and management plan before the end of your visit. What I do when I’m not seeing patients:I spend time with my family, and I am an avid sports fan, I like soccer, basketball and football.
