Meet our Team
Our dental assisting team of four has an abundance of pediatric dental experience. Two of our dental assistants are certified Expanded Duty Dental Assistants. All of our assistants have certifications in dental assisting, CPR, radiographs, and nitroux oxide administration. Our front office staff has an abundance of dental insurance and billing experience, including classes taken with Delta Dental insurance and Colorado Medicaid. Our entire staff loves children, and we have a lot of them–11 children, 7 grandchildren, and lots of “pet children”!
Why a Pediatric Dentist?
Pediatric dentists are the pediatricians of dentistry. In addition to a dental degree, pediatric dentists complete a two-year residency program that includes specialty training in the treatment of all children.
Pediatric dentists also receive advanced training in the use of conscious sedation and general anesthesia, child psychology/child growth and development, and oral-facial trauma management.

Why West Metro Dentistry?
At West Metro we are committed to your child’s oral health care as our number one priority. We treat children of all ages and are available for a variety of services. We also see children with significant medical, physical, and mental disabilities and believe that they deserve special attention. Our office is equipped to provide uncompromised dentistry to every child while making them feel safe and welcome while in our care.
West Metro Dentistry for Children’s mission is to provide a pediatric dental home that offers the best care and treatment while providing a positive, fun experience for your child’s growing years, and this is our number one priority.
Your Dental Home
Our practice philosophy is to provide the highest quality dental care possible while helping children to have pleasant experiences. We know that these experiences will help them make oral health a lifelong priority.
We follow the recommendations of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and American Dental Association, and suggest that children have their first dental exam no later than 1 year of age. This allows the establishment of a “dental home”. A dental home sets the foundation of optimum oral health by creating and implementing a plan to reduce children’s risk of preventable dental/oral disease.
As your dental home, we will encourage your child to feel good about visiting the dentist and teach him/her how to care for his/her teeth during every stage of childhood.
