Campbell Swift is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker who has worked in the field of mental health since 2013. Over these years, Campbell has gained valuable experience helping adolescents and adults overcome obstacles both internal and external. At the present, Campbell’s strengths as a therapist lend themselves to assisting adolescents and adults living with depression and anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive spectrum disorders, histories of trauma, addiction and substance use disorders, and personality disorders. Campbell completed his Master of Social Work (MSW) at Boston College Graduate School of Social Work. In his academic and work history, he has been fortunate enough to receive supervision and education from exemplary therapists and social workers. Campbell seeks to balance the spirit of social justice with the principles of evidence-based theory and practice. Campbell operates from a strengths-based and person-centered foundation, and employs established …interventions in the domains of CBT, DBT, ACT, exposure and response prevention, and motivational interviewing. Campbell sees therapy as an enhancement of strength more so than a treatment of pathology. He recognizes that psychological challenges are ubiquitous across human beings, and rejects the regrettably common narrative that frames mental health challenges as “illnesses” or “defects.” While such issues can undeniably limit our quality of life and create very real pain, everyone lives with a capacity for healing and change. Campbell views the therapeutic alliance as a collaborative effort, where the person served is the expert on their strengths and needs, and the therapist is a consultant who brings knowledge and compassion to facilitate the growth process. Campbell looks forward to working with you and is grateful for your faith in his ability to serve you.
