Dr. Schwartzbach has been a member of the Inova Fairfax Hospital team since 1989. He earned a degree in psychology at Columbia College before moving on to Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons where he received his medical degree. His surgical internship took place at George Washington University Medical Center. Dr. Schwartzbach completed an orthopaedic surgery residency and was a junior Anne C. Klein fellow at New York Orthopaedic Hospital and Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center in New York City. Dr. Schwartzbach is assistant professor of orthopaedics at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine and assistant clinical professor of orthopaedic surgery at George Washington University School of Medicine. He has also served as the orthopaedic consultant for the Fairfax County Health Department and the orthopaedic residency coordinator at Inova Fairfax Hospital. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, a member …of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and a member of the Orthopaedic Trauma Association.
