Dr. Chanel Young-Pope Young is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with over 25 years of experience in the mental health field. She is also a Veteran of the United States Air Force and a former United States Army Officer; having combined service in both branches totaling 24 years of military expertise. Dr. Young is passionate about helping women, adults, veterans, and seniors to address their unique challenges and associated with work-life balance/burn-out, depression, anxiety, complex grief, trauma, relationship issues, poor adjustment, phase of life issues, and major life transitions. Dr. Young holds a Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology from Argosy University’s Professional School of Psychology, an “en passant” Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Argosy University, a second Master’s Degree in Community Clinical Psychology, and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Norfolk State University. Dr. Young utilizes multiple treatment approaches to include …cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused interventions (SFT), and various integrative clinical techniques.
