Dr. Lin developed severe asthma when he was about four years old and had to go to the hospital for intensive care. His condition affected him throughout his childhood years up until middle school; “I couldn’t play sports or quickly walk up stairs to get to my classrooms. I remember telling one of my teachers that I wanted to be a children’s doctor when I grew up, because I wanted to help kids overcome their health concerns and live happy, active lives.”Dr. Lin went on to earn his medical degree and become an allergy and immunology specialist.“I really enjoy my job because I get to work with patients of all ages and help them find effective, lasting relief for their allergies, asthma and related conditions.”Actively involved in the community, Dr. Lin likes to give his time and energy to many organizations. These include the Irvine Unified School District, South Coast Chinese Culture Association and local PTAs and churches. He also teaches medical …residents at his office throughout the year to increase their knowledge of allergies, asthma and immunology.
