Dr. Charli Ellis is a board-certified psychiatrist. She has practiced in myriad settings including psychiatric emergency departments, inpatient hospitals, medical hospitals, and outpatient clinics. Due to her love of teaching, she has also worked as an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Atrium Health Wake Forest Medical School. She has been a practicing attending physician since 2014.
Dr. Ellis’ practice focuses on medication management. Typically, she offers this along with supportive psychotherapy in 30-minute follow-up visits. However, if indicated Dr. Ellis may believe that additional therapy is also needed and ask that you bring a therapist into your care team to provide the best outcome.
Training for general psychiatry prepared Dr. Ellis for treating people with a wide breadth of mental health concerns including but not limited to depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. Dr. Ellis’ philosophy is that patient-centered care is paramount to ensuring the treatment plan aligns …with the patient’s values and treatment goals. Dr. Ellis weaves together evidence-based treatment with complementary and alternative medicine for the best outcome for her patients.
