Dr. Chris Godell graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in biochemistry, where he also obtained a masters degree studying aspects of cellular injury and repair. Dr. Godell earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston and was named the Stjepcevich Scholar for his class. Dr. Godell is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society, and he is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Godell joined Austin Gastroenterology in September 2005.
