Dr. Christiana Shaw, MD

Dr. Shaw is a clinical professor in the division of general surgery at the UF College of Medicine who focuses her clinical efforts on surgical oncology.A fifth-generation Floridian, Dr. Shaw was born in Florida and grew up on the gulf coast. She attended The Florida State University for undergraduate education and the University of Miami for medical school prior to completing a general surgery residency at Tufts University in Boston. She completed a surgical oncology fellowship prior to starting at the University of Florida.Dr. Shaw is an expert in surgical removal of cancers, focusing on skin cancers and sarcoma (cancer of connective tissue). With additional training dedicated to the complex care of the cancer patient, she is well versed in the latest surgery and treatment options.Her expertise includes surgical solutions for skin cancer including melanoma, Merkel cell carcinoma, adnexal carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, and basal cell carcinoma, as well as sarcoma.
