Dr. Colin Daniel Pero, MD

Dr. Pero is a double board-certified Ear, Nose & Throat Specialist and Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon. In addition to practicing all aspects of his specialty, he has particular expertise in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the nose, sinus disease and allergy diagnosis and treatment.
Dr. Pero joined North Dallas ENT in 2009. He is Double Board-Certified in Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery, and Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
His practice has an emphasis on health and wellness with an interest in functional and cosmetic nasal surgery (rhinoplasty and reconstructive nasal surgery), medical and surgical treatment of chronic sinus disease, aesthetic and reconstructive facial surgery as well as the full gamut of ear, nose and throat disorders. Non-surgical rejuvenation procedures, including Botox®, injectable fillers (Juvederm®, Restylane®, etc.) laser skin resurfacing and chemical peels are also a key part of his practice.
He is a graduate of …Allen High School, and then attended Baylor University in Waco, Texas where he received a Presidential Scholarship and was on the Dean’s List while earning his Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology with a focus on Pre-Medical Studies.
Dr. Pero attended the University of Texas at Houston Medical School where he was elected to the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society; the only nationally recognized honor society for medical school students.
Following medical school, Dr. Pero performed his internship in General Surgery at the famed Charity Hospital in New Orleans. His residency in Otolaryngology/Head & Neck Surgery (Ear, Nose and Throat) was also completed in New Orleans at the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center.
At the conclusion of his residency, he was selected for a coveted fellowship in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Illinois at Chicago Medical School. Dr. Pero studied under the guidance of Dr. Dean M. Toriumi, a world-renowned expert in Facial Plastic Surgery with an emphasis on aesthetic and reconstructive surgery of the nose.
As an author of multiple peer-reviewed journal articles, textbook chapters and presentations at national and international meetings, he has contributed to many fields of Ear, Nose and Throat medicine. He additionally serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the University of Texas-Southwestern Medical School’s Department of Otolaryngology/Head & Neck Surgery, where he instructs the department’s residents primarily in the field of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
Dr. Pero also serves as Vice Chairman of the Board at Forest Park Medical Center in Frisco. Dr. Pero is a native of the Dallas area and is happy to be back in Texas after completing his training in Houston, New Orleans and Chicago. His wife, Roxanne, is an Obstetrician/Gynecologist in private practice at Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas. They are the proud parents of a baby boy, are active in their church and their community and enjoy traveling, live music and playing with their dogs Catin and Lila, both Hungarian Wirehaired Vizslas.
